Dawn Downey's essays have appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, Skirt! Magazine, ShambhalaSun.com, Kansas City Voices Magazine and The Best Times newspaper. She was featured in the anthologies Alzheimer's Anthology of Unconditional Love, Cuivre River Review and My Dad is My Hero. Her work earned top honors in competitions sponsored by the Santa Barbara Writers Conference, Oklahoma Writers' Federation, Missouri Writers Guild and the Johnson County KS Library.
She performs with Consciousness Trifecta, a sixty-minute showcase of metaphysical art, music and spoken word.
She is a member and co-facilitator of the Kansas City Writers Group.
